साखरखेड्याची गोष्ट — The Story of Sugar Village

The featured image shows a typical small place where jaggery is prepared from sugarcane juice. It is called गुऱ्हाळ.

Thanks. Would you like to consider rendering it into Gujarati? Please post it here.

I am not sure doing it directly from Marathi.. doing it along with an English or Hindi version would have been helpful..

चैत्यपुरुष chaitya purusha, is the psychic being, the Immortal in the mortal of the Rig Veda. The Mother’s experience is, it is the psychic being who will materialise and become the supramental being in the earthly evolution.

Beautiful poem. Does “अग्नितप्त देह” refer to some spiritual entity as well?

A couple of Vedic Rishis tried to have the body capable of bearing the Divine Light, holding it and making it luminous, without death. There was a partial success, Rishi Agastya had hung his body in front of the sun, like a piece of cloth, but it could not bear that intensity. It was called atapta tanu, अतप्त तनु, unbaked clay vessel, a body in which not enough tapas was done. But now a possibility has opened out in the Supramental Yoga of Transformation, of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. This is a radically new thing in the annals of spirituality.

    Gauri Karandikar sends her comment:

Such a beautiful symbolism, the sugarcane being heated to draw it’s jaggery, like a spiritual being being prepared by tapa from its original mortal physical state.

The world around, the birds, the sky, and the music, and the Gods are witness to this transformation.

The dawn of enlightenment is as sparkling as the jaggery syrup and full of sweetness in its every atom just like the divine is explicitly experienced and expressed in an enlightened soul.

This is my interpretation, small attempt
