New Sankhya — A Dialogue with AI Colleague
20 May 2026
The dialogue has its genesis in the following dated 20 May 2026:
But as we are focusing here mainly on the New Sankhya it is appropriate to look into the opening passage of The Book of Fate, Book Six of Savitri. Princess Savitri of the Madra Kingdom has met Satyavan in the Shalwa Forest and they pledge to be together in the marriage. She returns to let it be known to her parents. But already is present there the heavenly sage from Paradise, Narad, carrying the Word of Fate for the fated. Narad is a spiritual being and in order to appear in the Palace in a physical form he undergoes the occult Sankhya process of taking a dense terrestrial body; in the sequel he identifies himself with the “dumb spirit”. The Mother says that this is a painful process; but Narad for the cause of Savitri, in the name of his Vishṇu, is quite prepared to undergo the excruciating change. Here it is how he comes down. Here it is how he comes down:
In silent bounds bordering the mortal’s plane
Crossing a wide expanse of brilliant peace
Narad the heavenly sage from Paradise
Came chanting through the large and lustrous air. ||106.1||
Attracted by the golden summer-earth
That lay beneath him like a glowing bowl
Tilted upon a table of the Gods,
Turning as if moved round by an unseen hand
To catch the warmth and blaze of a small sun,
He passed from the immortals’ happy paths
To a world of toil and quest and grief and hope,
To these rooms of a see-saw game of death and life. ||106.2||
Across an intangible border of soul-space
He passed from Mind into material things
Amid the inventions of the inconscient Self
And the workings of a blind somnambulist Force. ||106.3||
Below him circling burned the myriad suns:
He bore the ripples of the etheric sea;
A primal Air brought the first joy of touch;
A secret Spirit drew its mighty breath. ||106.4||
Contracting and expanding this huge world
The secret might of the creative fire
Displayed its triple power to build and form,
Its infinitesimal wave-sparks’ weaving dance,
Its nebulous units’ grounding shape and mass,
Magic foundation and pattern of a world,
Its radiance bursting into the light of stars;
He felt a sap of life, a sap of death;
Into solid Matter’s dense communion
Plunging and its obscure oneness of forms
He shared with a dumb Spirit identity. ||106.5||
This is the Overmind Sankhya which gives Narad this gross physical body. Narad himself is, as the Mother saw him, a being standing between Overmind and Supermind. Had he been a supramental being it would not have been possible for him to appear in Madra, for the simple reason that it, materialisation of the supramental being on earth, in the material circumstance here, is not operative in the present cosmic working.
Narad in a physical body is now present here but this cannot be permanent, he cannot stay here forever. He must return to his original spiritual form, return when the purpose is served. The Book of Fate is alert to it and it ends with the following:
He spoke and ceased and left the earthly scene. ||113.1||
Away from the strife and suffering on our globe,
He turned towards his far-off blissful home. ||113.2||
A brilliant arrow pointing straight to heaven,
The luminous body of the eternal seer
Assailed the purple glory of the noon
And disappeared like a receding star
Vanishing into the light of the Unseen;
But still a cry was heard in the infinite,
And still to the listening soul on mortal earth
A high and far imperishable voice
Chanted the anthem of eternal love. ||113.3||
This dematerialisation must have been in the reverse order, appearance and disappearance by the same Sankhya. That is “man divine” but “superman divine” will have his New Sankhya.
With that background let us go through the rich and rewarding dialogue.
