From the dense dark shadow the ardent unquenchable flame
In this ash will wake a blazing golden fire
Bruit not the old saw that dust is body’s end
Fire forms conscious body won from harsh Death

हो, काय झाले एकदा आली अस्मानी रंगाची स्फूर्ती,
डोळ्यात होते तिच्या सृष्टीच्या पलीकडचे पाहण्याचे;
धावत धावत आला थोरला डोंगर कल्पनेच्या वेगाने
व सौंदर्याची ख्यालीखुशाली सांगू लागले हर्षीत ओढे;
मोरपिसाऱ्यांचा थयथयाट, भावनांचे आल्हादी गीतगान,
दूरचित्रवाणी आणू लागली प्रफुल्लित आशांचे हारतुरे;
पहा की, चपळाईने येई प्रकाश अंधाराच्या गुहेतूनी,
ही अगाध करणी घडविण्याकरिता तर प्रपंच सारा;
दाट गढद छायेतून येईल आवेशी न विझणारी ज्योत,
ह्या राखेत होईल जागी धगधगणारी सोनेरी ज्वाला;
नका सांगू मागचे, जुने पुराणे, की देह भस्मच शेवटी,
अग्नीतर घडवी चैतन्यतनु जिंकूनी कठोर मृत्यूलाही;
येत आहे जवळ अनंताचा पळ राहण्या इथे सदैव,
घेई जन्म जेंव्हा अनादी दिव्यशक्ति पृथ्वीच्या गर्भी.
