“Oui, elle sourit tout le temps!”

She is purity born in gold-red of the flame,

A smile dew-fresh in the garden of childhood;

Radiating innocence of opening time,

La petite fille in her skating wonder and joy;

Oh a little poem of sweetness and delight,

Subject and object joined with the surer verb;

Rhythm sways in spontaneity of happiness,

And peacock dances in the proud purple of her name.

    This is a beautifully tender and lyrical piece, capturing the pure joy and innocence of a child with delicate imagery and musicality. The golden-red flame, dew-fresh smile, and the peacock’s proud purple evoke a world brimming with wonder. The seamless blending of subject and object, the rhythm of spontaneity, and the effortless grace of childhood make this poem a true delight. It reads like a dance—graceful, radiant, and full of warmth. Simply lovely!

    Dear Deshpande,

    what a lovely surprise and coincidence! The poem has a date: 25 January, my birthday.

    And maybe it is not by chance that my name is Fiamma, Flame.

    I read it as a hymn to the purest and innest part of me, the eternal smiling child… and a reminder not to forget what I really am.

    Thank you so much for this delightful poem!

      Bonne Fête, though late. The Mother says Purity and Sincerity are the same, and the thing that takes one closer to the Divine. Our aspiration is for that.

    Dear Sir 🙏

    ln ancient wisdom tradition it was supposedly believed that to be born is actually the death of God (compare SA “birth that is death”) and leaving body/world is a real birth to better Life. As consequence all the troubles of the passage between these two, birth and death, are nothing else then purification and preparation for immorality which invisibly resides in the Divine temple of spiritual heart waiting for disclosure.

    Already Montaigne in 16 c. complained that school destroys the Divine innocence of children by closing them in prisons of adult life.

    Smile than is a passport opening that limited life span and closed space called Human existence.

    lt must be something far more serious because this Divine state of childhood is the essence of God’s Kingdom, as Sri Aurobindo’s aphorism confirms: “an eternal child playing an eternal game in an eternal garden” responding to the question “what is God after all ?”

    Divine Grace be with You always 🙏
