Body built by consciousness

“I collapse, all gets lost in the death’s assault,”

Cried the ancient woman. “But I do a high pole vault,”

Tells the heroic jeune fille,  “Though all had failed

The hard trophy I have won, my act prevailed;

Deep into my marrow has entered a flame,

Singing chants, to the nameless giving a name;

As I have conquered death’s steep confronting hill,

My body is now built by a conscious will.”

मया यत् कठिनं पुरस्कारं प्राप्तम्, मम कृत्यं प्रबलम्;

स्तोत्रं गायन्, नाम दत्त्वा अनामिकाभ्यः;

    Weld us to one in thy strong smithy of life” -Savitri, Book XI, Canto 1.

    ” Deep into my marrow has entered a flame,

    Singing chants, to the nameless giving a name”

    These two are so significant…Powerful…Des chants qui “donnent un nom au sans nom”.

      About your insight and appreciation this is what I wrote to somebody while replying him in an email:

      “What a compliment he has paid! It is not extolling, but a precious well-understood and well-stated perception. Only one who is deep in the Mother’s Agenda and Savitri can say that.”

    Rima Ghosh writes the following to me. She wants me to “correct” it. But that is not necessary if I have to preserve the inspired spontaneity with which she wrote, though there can be differences in the metaphysics of the piece:

    <<The poem contrasts symbolically the despair of the “ancient woman,” representing a materialistic or limited view of life succumbing to death, with the triumph of the “heroic jeune fille,” the embodiment of the transformative power of consciousness and will. Through an inner awakening, the jeune fille transcends mortality as consciousness reshapes her very being, infusing vitality into her physical form. Her body, no longer pure biological, becomes a projection of her awakened will, conquering death and limitation. Mother Mirra Alfassa worked relentlessly so that the body, under proper conditions, can transform into a vessel for divine transformation. Therefore, consciously working through the cells and infusing them with supramental light, she could transcend physical decay and mortality, carrying out the sense of a “body built by a conscious will” where spiritual power redefines the physical into an instrument of higher evolution.>>
