An Indian Vision

Franco Basso

Climbing the curve of existence along the cold mountain

I could hear the singing bowls filling the air in the dark

of a subtle vibration

lightly I relived the unlived without rancour

Feet going with joy

They walked on a carpet of sweet clouds

And the heart beat only at the persuasive mantra

of the breath of the wind

I was the curve itself, I knew it

but the announcement of the distant dawn was radiant

SO this was the path.

And still in the yellow plain it shone

The Kingdom of the Blue Flower

beyond which it would have been revealed

The mystery of time

and to the children of man given relief

But not for me, I should have gone beyond

Where promises are not in vain

Where silence is not a condemnation

Where darkness is not fear

Where peace is the stormy sea

Where to end is just to begin

where the human is superhuman.

Dear Deshpande,

Miranda mentioned that you suggested featuring my vision on your site. I would be delighted to proceed—thank you very much. I maintain an Italian blog titled vagabondaggioletterario.blogspot.com.

Best regards,

Franco
