नसावा मावळणारा सूर्य

प्रबळ इच्छा की नसावा मावळणारा सूर्य,

नसावी गुणगुणारी नदी कोरडी कधीही;

भरगच्च धान्याने भरलेले आहे कोठार,

अंतःकरण समृद्धीच्या अमाप सौभाग्याने;

वाचनायलात ज्ञानविज्ञानांचे जाड ग्रंथ,

निळे आकाश आणि पाताळही गवसे तेथे;

जीव अडकलेला काळ्याशा कोळ्याच्या जाळ्यात

घेई पंख भरारीचे जाण्या मृत्यूच्या पल्याड;

नसे अंत संसाराला असो दिवस वा रात्र,

आत्मविश्वास न जुमानता कर्दनकाळही;

उंच चढे शिखर कठीण शिखरावरती,

ऐकत ऐकत वाणी अचानक आनंदाची;

तेजाळ ऐश्वर्य अरिष्ट भाकरतुकड्यात,

पाहावे जेथे तेथे विपुलतेचा थाटमाट;

झाले जागे बाळगलेले स्वप्न फार प्राचीन,

जन्मास येता सृजनता थोरल्या वैभवाची.

A strong wish that there be no setting sun

No humming river ever run dry

The brimming storehouse fill with grain

Heart with the fortune of measureless prosperity

In the reading room thick tomes of knowledge and science

Blue skies and the underworld also grasped there 

Life caught in the gray spider’s web

Takes wing to soar beyond death

The universe with no end, by day nor by night

Self-confidence uncaring of grief

High climbs the pinnacle on hard pinnacle

Listening, listening to the voice of sudden joy

Bright opulence in the calamitous humble bread

Wherever you look there’s the pomp of abundance

The fostered ancient dream has awakened

The creativity of the grand old glory is born
