The Winds of Wonder

This joyful earth

पुलकित धरणी

सरले दुःख, सरल्या वेदना, काळाचा कठोरपणा,

झाली पुलकित धरणी प्रेमळ हर्षाच्या स्पर्शाने;

पानांची टवटवी, पहाटे गोडपणा दवबिंदूंचा,

उमलल्या कळ्या बागेत, आशा प्रसन्नतेच्या;

रंगीत सुगंध पसरे सोनचाफ्याचा साती लोकी,

धावत उतरे अद्भुतता दिलेल्या आश्वासनाची;

अविष्कार अग्नीचा, मृत्यूहीन मरणाधीनत्वात ,

घेई देहरूप चैतन्याच्या अनिर्बंध संकल्पेनुसार;

आले सूर्यधन दगडामातीच्या लहानशा घरात,

विधात्याची योगतपश्चर्या झाली इथे फलदायी.

A rendering into English

This joyful earth

Sorrow has passed, pain, harshness of time, all,

Jubilant is the earth with the touch of loving joy;

Verdant leaves, sweetness of dewdrops at morn,

Blossoming of buds in the garden, such glad hopes;

Gold magnolia’s hued fragrance pervades the worlds,

Wonder of promises given long ago running swift;

Now dynamic is the fire in deathless mortality,

Unfettered consciousness taking gifted bodies;

Dwells the rich sun in this blazing stone house,

Oh the flaming yoga-tapasyā of the incarnate!
