This is the first sunrise at Kanyākumari on 14 January 2025 marking the transit of the Sun to the North, Uttarāyaṇa, Winter Solstice. Winter is over and begins the Spring, the ardent Lover, with flowers and rich harvests of joy, Nature at Beauty’s festival.
Then Spring, an ardent lover, leaped through leaves
And caught the earth-bride in his eager clasp;
His advent was a fire of irised hues,
His arms were a circle of the arrival of joy. ||93.23||
