I planted a tree

I planted a tree, of joy, in my garden,

And oh come birds with vowing songs of winged hopes;

On it gleam beauties of purple excellence,

Smile for them who have kindled flames in their hearts;

Underneath it early morning if you sit

What will pour is nectar from its gifted wows;

Destiny’s figs hanging from its low branches

Will bring surprises of the decreed future.
