The Winds of Wonder

There are magnificences

Because of joy thrives the creator-being,

He who glimpses everything in his seeing;

There are astonishments climbing up and down,

In them word and sense urge, impel verb and noun;

Suddenness that has come from his aureate hum

Has seized for its beats the all-sounding drum;

Gone is now resisting dumbness of things,

And spirit’s magnificences matter sings.

विस्मयानि सन्ति

आनन्दात् प्रजापतिः सत्त्वः वर्धते, २.

यः सर्वं दर्शने प्रेक्षते;

तत्र विस्मयानि उपरि अधः च आरोहन्ति, .

तेषु शब्दार्थः आग्रहः, प्रेरयति क्रियापदं च संज्ञा च;

सहसा यत् तस्य सुवर्णगुञ्जाद् आगतं

स्वताडनानां कृते सर्वध्वनिं ढोलं गृहीतवान्;

गतः इदानीं द्रव्यस्य मूकतां प्रतिरोधयति,

आत्मायाः च भव्यतां भौतिकं गायति।
