The Winds of Wonder

A yellow bird and magnolia

To visit the celebrated tree of smile

The small bird put on a lustrous pink-gold robe;

It was in the mystic California,

The darling of the Spirit of Felicity;

Melodies had built the skyway for its flight,

Even as blazed the rapture of magnolia;

They joined together in the beauty of joy,

Applauded by songster souls of rhapsody.

पीतपक्षी सोनचाफा च

प्रसिद्धं स्मितवृक्षं मिलितुं

सुन्दरः पक्षी एकं दीप्तिमत् गुलाबी-सुवर्ण-वस्त्रं धारयति स्म;     

गहने रहस्यवादी कैलिफोर्नियायां आसीत्,

आनन्दस्य आत्मानः प्रियः;

रागैः तस्य उड्डयनार्थं आकाशमार्गाः निर्मिताः आसन्,

यथा अपि सोनचाफायाः आकर्षणं प्रज्वलितम्;

आनन्दसौन्दर्ये संयोजिताः,

सङ्गीतस्य गीतकारात्मभिः प्रशंसितम्।
