The Winds of Wonder

Word behind the word

Behind every thought there is a goldenness,

Every feeling inspired excellence of love;

There is greatness of the power unwon in time,

To dismiss incertitude borne by chance;

Symbols come in their richness and blaze hopes,

Life defying mischiefs of erring falsehood;

Voice shall take possession of the mortal’s lips

And speak with the word that is behind the word.

शब्दस्य पृष्ठतः शब्दः

प्रत्येकं विचारस्य पृष्ठतः सुवर्णत्वं भवति,

प्रत्येकं भावना प्रेमस्य उत्कृष्टतां प्रेरितवती;

तत्र कालेन अजिता शक्तिः माहात्म्यम्,

यदृच्छया वहितं अनिश्चिततां निराकर्तुं;

प्रतीकाः स्वसमृद्धौ आगत्य आशाः प्रज्वलन्ति,

भ्रष्टमिथ्यावादस्य दुष्टतां अवहेलयन् जीवनम्;

वाणी मर्त्यस्य अधरं गृह्णीयात्

वचनं च पृष्ठतः यत् वचनं वर्तते तत् सह वदतु।

I would hear, in my spirit’s wideness solitary

    The Voice that speaks when mortal lips are mute:

    I seek the wonder of things absolute

Born from the silence of Eternity.
