The Winds of Wonder

Dance of the rain-goddess

If there are imaginations bring them to life,

Let creative rains irrigate fields of wonder;

Not for tranquil peace but for barns of rich millets

Runs the tilling inspiration in hectic ardour;

I would take the stars and sow them in the furrows

And wait for their undreamt dreams to smile for me;

Oh to make robust seeds from the nuggets of gold

And the rain-goddess dancing in the downpour!

वर्षादेव्याः नृत्यम्

यदि सन्ति कल्पनाः तान् जीवन्ति,

सृजनात्मकवृष्टयः आश्चर्यक्षेत्राणि सिञ्चन्तु;

न शान्तशान्तिं कृते अपितु समृद्धकोजराकोष्ठानां कृते

महता उत्साहेन संवर्धनप्रेरणां धावति;

अहं ताराणि गृहीत्वा भूमौ स्थापयामि स्म

तेषां अस्वप्नस्वप्नानां च प्रतीक्षां कुरुत यत् ते मम कृते स्मितं कुर्वन्ति;

अहो सुवर्णस्य खण्डेभ्यः दृढबीजानि कर्तुं

वर्षायां च नृत्यन्ती वर्षा देवी!
