A lustrous sindūrī prize

There were noble and solemn vows, promises

That ran on winning tracks of speed and joy;

Gold-brown was the blazing tail of the horse

Running destiny’s race in day and in night;

A will had gathered in haste of the favourite

To fetch intensities of the splendidest far;

Now that resolve bears a lustrous sindūrī prize

On tree of the future smiling in the orchard.

एकः दीप्तिमत् सिन्दूरी पुरस्कारः

आर्याः गम्भीराः च व्रताः प्रतिज्ञाः आसन्

तत् वेगस्य आनन्दस्य च विजयमार्गेषु धावति स्म;

अश्वस्य ज्वलन्तं पुच्छं सुवर्णभूरेण आसीत्

दिवा रात्रौ च दैवस्य दौडं धावन्;

प्राधान्यस्य त्वरया एकः संकल्पः समागतः आसीत्

भव्यतमस्य दूरस्थस्य तीव्रताम् आनेतुं;

इदानीं स निश्चयः सिन्दूरीपुरस्कारं तेजस्वीम्

भविष्यस्य वृक्षे फलोद्याने स्मितं कुर्वन्।
