The Winds of Wonder

Fragrance — Surabhi — सुरभि

I picked up a purple rock from ancient quarry

And felt the fragrance of truth in its bosom;

In emerald sea I beheld colourful corals

And rich odours floated to shores of trance;

On the hazel tree a tiny bird built its dreams,

And honey-scented surprises danced in joy;

Beauty is a garden for utterness of love

Whose perfume lights smiles of the soul.

सुगन्ध — सुरभि — सुगन्ध

अहं प्राचीनखनिखानात् बैंगनीशिला उद्धृतवान्

तस्य च वक्षसि सत्यस्य गन्धं अनुभवति स्म;

पन्नासमुद्रे मया वर्णाः प्रवालाः दृष्टाः

समृद्धाः च गन्धाः समाधितीरेषु प्लवन्ति स्म;

हेजलवृक्षे एकः लघुः पक्षी स्वप्नानि निर्मितवान् ।

मधुगन्धयुक्तानि च आश्चर्यं हर्षेण नृत्यन्ति स्म;

सौन्दर्यं प्रेम्णः उदात्ततायै उद्यानम् अस्ति

यस्य गन्धं प्रदीपयति स्मितं आत्मानः।
