Birth of Suvarṇā

Suvarṇā was born in the flame of sacrifice,

With knowledge of the past and things to come;

She saw cattle with horns of gold in highlands,

And met streams of joy rushing from unseen tides;         

In beauty and amazement of kindled hopes

Wonders had speeds won only by the true in time;

Suvarṇā rode a champion horse and reached

The unattainable in fierce earth-dynamics.

सुवर्णस्य जन्म

सुवर्णा यज्ञज्वालायां जातः,

अतीतानां भविष्यत्विषयाणां च ज्ञानेन सह;

सा उच्चभूमिषु सुवर्णशृङ्गैः पशवः

अदृष्टज्वारात् त्वरितम् आनन्दस्य धाराः च मिलितवन्तः;

प्रज्वलितआशासु सौन्दर्येषु आश्चर्येषु च

उत्कृष्टतायाः वेगः केवलं कालेन सत्येन एव जिता;

सुवर्णा विजयाश्वमारुह्य गतः

तेजस्वी पृथिवीगतिविज्ञाने अप्राप्यम्।
