The Winds of Wonder

The journey

Word was born to create wonders, like sky the sound,

And sound the eager listening ear in silent depths;

He was first with God, and he himself was God,

Looking down from above, seeing his own images;

But now he covers distances, running parkways

For journey to be made up there to the green land;

The journey is the journey of the spreading pledge

That intensifies in sights and sounds and senses.

यात्रा

शब्दः जातः आश्चर्यं सृजति, आकाश इव शब्दः,

मौनगहनेषु च उत्सुकं श्रोतृकर्णं ध्वनित;

प्रथमं ईश्वरेण सह आसीत्, स्वयं च ईश्वरः आसीत्,

उपरितः अधः पश्यन् स्वप्रतिमाः दृष्ट्वा;

परन्तु अधुना सः दूरं आच्छादयति, उद्यानमार्गान् धावति

तत्र हरितभूमिं प्रति यात्रायाः कृते;

यात्रा प्रसारितप्रतिज्ञायाः यात्रा अस्ति

तत् दर्शनेषु शब्देषु इन्द्रियेषु च तीव्रं भवति।
