A galaxy named joy

There’s no galaxy greater than the one named joy,

No honey more fragrant than the sweet-scented love;

Form-formlessness, — it’s beauty that smiles in hush,

The sun blazing in its goldenness in the sun;

The magic is in measures that cannot be measured,

A surprise from god-nothing to god-vast;

Even in shadows thrown by truth does shine the truth:

It’s a dance of life with death for deathlessness.

आनन्द नामकं नक्षत्रसमूहः

न कश्चित् ज्ञातः नक्षत्रसमूहः आनन्दनामकस्य अपेक्षया अधिकः भवति,

मधुरगन्धप्रेमात् अधिकं सुगन्धितं न मधु;

रूप-अरूपता, — सौन्दर्यमेव शान्ततया स्मितं करोति,

सूर्ये सुवर्णत्वे प्रज्वलितः सूर्यः;

परिमाणेषु एकः माया अस्ति या न प्रमेयः

देव-नकिञ्चित् देव-विशालं यावत् एकं आश्चर्यम्;

सत्येन क्षिप्तच्छायासु अपि सत्यं प्रकाशते,

अमृत्यर्थं मृत्युना सह जीवनस्य नृत्यम् अस्ति .

    Dance of Life with Death maybe very painful but the occult is sublime and purposeful, for the evolutionary soul to make progress in its realisation and expression of the curiosity that brought it into this creation.

    Once in the immortal boundlessness of Self,

    In a vast of Truth and Consciousness and Light

    The soul looked out from its felicity. ||111.2||

    It felt the Spirit’s interminable bliss,

    It knew itself deathless, timeless, spaceless, one,

    It saw the Eternal, lived in the Infinite. ||111.3||

    Then, curious of a shadow thrown by Truth,

    It strained towards some otherness of self,

    It was drawn to an unknown Face peering through night. ||111.4||

    It sensed a negative infinity,

    A void supernal whose immense excess

    Imitating God and everlasting Time

    Offered a ground for Nature’s adverse birth

    And Matter’s rigid hard unconsciousness

    Harbouring the brilliance of a transient soul

    That lights up birth and death and ignorant life. ||111.5||
