The Winds of Wonder

Sounds without chords

There is no sea but there is an island,

There are no words but there is an epic;

Behind the formless there’s an unseen form,

In the unownable the knowable’s unknown;

There is no sky but there are birds in flight,

There are no thoughts but there is the thinker;

Because the hush is rich in unsounded notes

The inaudible with its orchestral wonders.

ताररहिताः ध्वनयः

समुद्रः नास्ति किन्तु द्वीपः अस्ति,

शब्दाः न सन्ति किन्तु महाकाव्यं वर्तते;

निराकारस्य पृष्ठतः अदृष्टरूपम् अस्ति,

अज्ञेये ज्ञेयस्य अज्ञातस्य;

आकाशः नास्ति किन्तु उड्डयनं कुर्वन्तः पक्षिणः सन्ति,

विचाराः न सन्ति किन्तु विचारकः अस्ति;

यतः निःशब्दः अध्वनितस्वरसमृद्धः भवति

अश्रव्यं तस्य वाद्यवृन्दचमत्कारैः सह ।
